Galvanising (HB) Limited specialises in Hot Dip Galvanising. We can provide optimal quality for large items and small, as well as an extensive and timely delivery service.

Our galvanising plant has existed on the current site in Napier for over thirty years. The bath of molten zinc measures 8.1m long, 1.4m wide, and 2.4m deep which gives us the ability to dip long items up to 11.5m, and heavy objects with our 2 sets of 4T SWL gantry cranes. We are experienced galvanisers with processing staff who hold an in depth understanding of the technical aspect of hot dip galvanising.

All our processing steps at Galvanising H.B. are in accordance with the requirements of the joint Standard AS/NZ 4680 for After-Fabrication Hot Dip Galvanising. You can be assured that prior to Galvanising, the steel has been prepared in our Caustic and Hydrochloric Acid baths to ensure the removal of any surface contaminants including millscale, light grease, oils and corrosion that would impede the correct coating of Zinc. Coatings on steel such as paint, lacquer or significant areas of corosion build up require abrasive blasting prior to entering our process.

Galvanising HB is able to provide quality assurance measures to cater for specific standards. We provide the option of reporting for quality assurance measures. We are capable of galvanising to other specified Standards, including certification to HDG 900 (900gms/m²).

Utilising our transport fleet of three trailered vehicles with access to other larger vehicles, we offer a comprehensive pickup and delivery service to complement our galvanising service. Our regular catchment area includes a service North from Taupo to Tauranga biweekly and South to Manawatu several times weekly. We have several other customers throughout New Zealand who utilise us for specific projects beyond these areas which we offer by arrangement. Our work has included galvanising projects for most of the large infrastructure clients in New Zealand.
